#SquadBettie came together celebrate what we love the most this Valentine’s Day…. YOU! This amazing event was based on self love, self empowerment and the power of a good selfie!

Two of the most sensual performers in Grand Rapids steamed up the windows on this chilly winter night!
Michee Rose rocked the room with both a belly dance and a chair dance. I didn’t even know you could do snake arms with your legs? Did you see her upper body strength? #goals.
Hedy Harper is always a dream. Her burlesque performances are reminiscent of traditional burlesque. With a both balloon and a feather boa performance, she had tassels twirling! We even had a few betties bouncing to see if they could recreate it!
Liz Nolan helped us embrace our inner sexiness though a 35 minute tantric meditation class. Liz described Tantric Meditation as the use of use of all five senses to move energy through your entire body and ignite your sexual energy. This includes movement, visualization, vocals, awareness, focus and presence.
The giveaways were INSANE! Bijoux Indiscrets generously sponsored our event and sent us one of their GORGEOUS leather bra, suspenders, garter belt, and lickable body powder. The body powder is so sparkly you can see the highlighter from space. We also had giveaways from all of our amazing vendors.
Have you ever wanted to try something new? Christina of Zeal Aerial Fitness gave a bettie and a friend the opportunity to try Silks, Hoop, or pole! Elise was fearless trying moves on the silks.
About Face of Grand Rapids donated a gift card for one lucky bettie to embrace her beauty and enjoy an experience at About Face. Jenna was also available to discuss the services they provide and had a table full of cosmetics and beauty care items available to purchase!
Wanderlux Beauty & Wellness Co. were on site to discuss ways to connect with your body and your feminine energy. Two betties went home with either a Yoni Steam or a Infrared Sauna Steam gift card!
Did you know Mod Bettie is on the board of Better Body Image Conference? We had Co-Founder Bri Luginbill on hand to talk about the better body image movement and due to a gracious donation by BBI, one bopo bettie will be able to attend the conference for FREE!
Both Bree of BBMindful Coaching & Consulting and Susan of Health Training Performance LLC gave 4 powerful betties branded tops to rock. They also talked about their newest event, Power Suit You, but please wear a dress. An empowerment event crafted to explore both your inner and outer strength
If you missed it, we had a special guest to close out our night! Nate Flachs, a local children’s book author and 1st place winner of the Scene and Heard Journals "Love and New Beginnings Challenge”, read us his newest poem! All of the sudden all the amazing parts that make you whole are dissected and judged leaving a big gaping whole in your soul. But the thing is you aren’t parts. You are a totally BETTIE. The whole package. A real fucking human being. And we need you. Because although we are occasionally outspoken and often brave, sometimes we need the stiff hand of a righteous Bettie to pull us through our self-sabotaging shit. *Quietly raises hand* We are perfectly flawed and have created this community for our friends, acquaintances and companions.
