What an Honor to be an Athena!
Every year at the ATHENA Awards Celebration, the Grand Rapids Chamber gathers to “CELEBRATE those who embody, encourage and promote the inclusion of women. The ATHENA Leadership Award is presented to an outstanding leader who is honored for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.” (Grand Rapids Chamber website)
The Athena Awards were created 38 years ago to showcase the leadership and strength of women in the workforce.
So let me tell you, we were blow away when Elise was named a finalist! Not because she’s not freaking amazing (because obviously), but because it’s a HUGE honor to be sitting at the table with all of the other amazing women who are finalists.
Athena is the goddess of wisdom and war, handicrafts and peace. She is a warrior goddess.
The epitome of classy, sassy and bad-assy.
