What’s better than fresh wine in a robe and the Texas heat hitting that sexy Bettie skin? Not much, but we packed in a whole lot more into our Dallas Retreat. The Betties took over Dallas, and this is what happened!
What happens before you arrive?
The pRetreat, of course.. And we take it very seriously, as you can see. It takes a great amount of skill and determination to fit all of the gear and gowns into a limited amount of luggage.
What’s the Goal of This Trip?
To give you the opportunity to finally live out your dream of being that sultry, effortlessly cool cover model — all while getting the photographic evidence to prove it! If playing dress up is wrong, we never, ever want to be right. Elise takes an art therapy approach to portrait sessions believing that all bodies are good bodies that are worthy of documentation.

THE FOOD!
The reviews are in and the breakfasts were a HIT. Home cooked meals by Chef Abbey of Wandering Roots - probably one of the best parts of the entire trip! Sit back and let the pro do the work. She can even customize your meal plan specifically to your diet needs! From Blackened Chicken to Salmon Eggs Benedict, this B has you covered in the food department! We always have fruit out for snacking too!
Yoga!
After your morning brekky from Abbey and a mimosa by the pool with the squad, join yogi and retreat master Anna, for a session of yoga in the yard! As you can see, you can take it at your own pace. We aren’t trying to stress you out on this trip, and Anna can help you every step of the way to hit those poses like the pro stretch queen that you are! Remember, you get the option to shoot with our photographer on this trip, too, so stretching those glutes for the perfect pose is key.

With Magnolia Home, Magnolia Market, and the Shops at the Silos, Magnolia did not lack the opportunity to shop 'til you drop. Joanna Gaines came through providing us with all of the cutest selfie spots! There wasn't a part of the market you couldn't snap the perfect pic! (Yes, even the restrooms were aesthetically pleasing...).
Don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to eat at Magnolia, too! Jenn approved the lemon lavender cupcake!

Settling In
There's nothing like surprise goodies, gold flake cocktails, and dog kisses to start off the weekend! No Wandering Roots retreat is complete without some R&R and we definitely needed it to prepare for what was to come!

We had the best photoshoot warm up by the pool. Nothing gets you more comfortable with your photographer like taking your top off and jumping into a freezing cold body of water, right? Right.
The DREAMHAUS!
The most popular part of the trip by far was our visit to the Dreamhaus, where we donned our sexiest lingerie, gowns, and ostrich robes, and the mod photog got to work!

Final Meal at Nobu!
After all of this awesomeness packed into just 4 days, we all sat down for dinner at NOBU! For nearly three decades, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa has been celebrated for his innovated new style Japanese cuisine. By combining his cutting edge creativity with exceptional hospitality in a glamorous setting, his restaurants all over the world have garnered numerous awards and accolades. Celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa's upmarket Japanese-Peruvian fare is in a stylish hotel setting.
This place even had a cool hallway with antique glass mirrors for selfie heaven!

Bradley Haas is a show director of Beauty Beyond Drag Productions, LLC and the newest addition to Mod Bettie. His relationship with MB/NB began in 2019 when his drag production company had the opportunity to take part in a photoshoot with world-renowned drag troupe from the United Kingdom, Drag Syndrome, shot by Elise Kutt. In 2020, he and his business grew closer with MB/NB when his production began holding Naughty Drag Bingo at Mod Bettie.
Bradley is the remote event coordinator for Mod Bettie/Naughty Bettie. He is here to bring a little extra love to everything he touches. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community,
