Dragons, Unicorns & Mermaids @ The Public Museum, Grand Rapids

This exhibit at The Public Museum in Downtown GR is an awesome family activity for mothers and daughters (and anyone else in the fam who wants to tag along!) The exhibit features both models and replicas of the mystical specimens, in addition to fossils of real prehistoric animals that help explain how some of these otherworldly creatures may have been inspired. This show is running all of January and into the spring months, and it's such a fun way to tie science and fantasy together!

WPBA: Grand Slam Event @ Soaring Eagle Casino, Mt Pleasant

3-7 January 2018

This tournament is hosted by one of the longest-running women's professional sports organizations in the world--The Women's Professional Billiard Association. If you want to see some awesome women compete in what is often considered a male-dominated sport, stop by Soaring Eagle for this action-packed weekend of billiards and babes doing their thing.

Crazy Ladies Quilting Circle @ Coopersville Farm Museum

Maybe you're looking to pick up a new hobby this year, or maybe you're already an avid quilter--either way--join the fun at Coopersville Farm Museum every Thursday of the year! The primary focus may be quilting, but anyone interested in crocheting, sewing, or anything else textile related should come out and get to know the crazy ladies. Don't be intimidated if you don't have any experience; every level of knowledge is welcome to join!

Princess Tea Party @ Henderson Castle Inn, Kalamazoo
